The TL:DR version:
Renovating our home was quite a challenge. We didn’t want to expand the footprint, but wanted to maximise what we already had with smart design choices. We had some ideas, but at the same time no idea if they could actually work. Off-the-shelf design was never going to be an option. Pretty soon, my wife and I both realised what we needed wasn’t a designer and a builder. We needed a designer and project manager/builder team, and we found exactly that in Presence Design.

From the very first consultation, we knew we were in great hands. Craig and Baretta first get a sense for your space, what you want and also who you are. That’s really important to them. They don't just renovate a kitchen or bathroom in isolation. They design to create a home that really works for you and how you live. Through the design phase they were super collaborative, but not so much to let amateurs like us railroad them into poor choices! They really know what they’re doing and their professionalism won our trust very quickly.

Our renovations themselves were quite complex. It involved creating an ensuite out of a laundry, a euro-laundry out of thin air, a new master out of bedroom that hadn’t been used for years, complete kitchen remodel, built ins properly built in, doubling the size of a sliding door, and turning a void into an epic man cave.
I’ve probably missed some things, but all that adds up to this not being the easiest of jobs, and us not the easiest of clients!

But the build quality. This is where Craig comes into his own. He is old school. The attention to detail he has is phenomenal. He project manages the whole job, but is incredibly hands-on. If it’s not up to his standard, well, it will be, because he’ll make sure of it even if it means doing it himself. You can tell he really takes pride in his work. And these days, that is a rarity. It’s something that rubs off on the whole team he puts together. He has assembled a crew of craftsman who really do a fantastic job at every level.
